Laetare Solutions was established in 1990 to help children and adults meet the assistive technology and augmentative communication challenges imposed by disabilities.
Our experience includes providing assessments, appropriatly modified computer systems, and training for clients working for Health and Human Services (nationwide), as well as providing products and services to schools, agencies and families. Our goal is to find the best solution to help clients mazimize their potential. We understand the many challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, but believe they can lead full and meaningful lives if given the opportunity and the appropriate supports and tools.
We understand language and communication develop differently for many of our clients. Their ability to express their thoughts, concerns, wants and needs also varies greatly. We look at language and communication in broad terms, knowing that spoken/verbal language, gestures and physical responses (eye gaze, nods or head movement, touch, etc.), symbols and pictures (communication boards and books), sign language, structured language patterns, and communicatin devices (both high and low tech) may all be part of a complete communication system for a person.
We have carefully chosen ouir porduct lines to offer solutions that meet a wide variety of needs. We select our partner companies based on their products, as well as on the support they provide.
In addition to providing products, we offer consultative services. We can provide customized trainings for school teams, agencies and conferences, communication integration assessments, and consultations for families of girls with RETT Syndrom who are looking for communication and integration ideas.
